Our travel planning for the fall is still moving forward as planned until we are advised otherwise by the Government and Health Organizations. We are confident the situation by then will be well taken under control and we will be able to enjoy some fun times traveling together.

Carnevale, ogni scherzo vale! (For Carnival, anything goes!)
Carnevale has roots in pagan festivals. Martedì Grasso precedes Ash Wednesday, which starts the 40-day period of Quaresima (Lent). Tradition wants that during this day all fat and most delicious foods available are eaten, foods that are forbidden during the 40 days of Lent, as for meats and the typical sweets of Carnevale (“chiacchiere” or “bugie”), thin layer of dough, deep-fried and covered with powdered sugar. The highlight of this joyous winter celebration is artistic masks and colorful parades with music and parties. Celebrated since the 1200s, Carnivals in Italy are still hugely popular and loved by not just Italians but also visitors from all over the world.
