Autentico Italia! This was our first international trip where we spent ten days exploring northern Italy. Our goal going in was to have an experience unlike the feel of a major tour company. We wanted to see Italy beyond the tourist trap feel we have had on domestic trips or European trips we have heard our friends complain about.

We stumbled upon Via Vitae Tours from a friend who claimed Anthony Zanotti’s spirit for authentic Italy was the touch we needed. We were a bit skeptic going in and Anthony’s flare and passion for Italy and in providing the best hospitality was made clear. He provided insider insight about cuisine, what sights to see and was very informative as a guide. We did not have to worry about any details throughout the visit which for us made it all the better. He set everything up (arranging lodging, transportation, etc).

What impressed us most was his knowledge of the fine points of old world wines. Anthony even set up tailored winery visits and tastings toward the end of the week to match some of the preferences we shared. The places we visited you only read about in magazines. We didn’t get to see everything and are already looking to book another venture to central Italy in summer. From wine tastings and castle visits to archaeological sites and experiencing local village life, we can only say bravo to Via Vitae Tours! Bravo!
